Las Vegas, USA, 6 October 2013:  OAG, the market leader in aviation intelligence, is announcing Toulouse Airport as the first airport customer at World Routes to sign up for OAG’s new Traffic Analyser tool, launched yesterday at the event.

Aimed at airports, aviation consultants, tourist boards and financial institutions, OAG’s Traffic Analyser is a powerful online analysis tool that provides access to scheduled airline passenger booking data. Developed in partnership with Travelport, the product utilises Travelport’s passenger booking information to allow users to gain detailed insight into areas such as the number of passengers originating and arriving at a particular airport, load factors on each flight, the size of passenger markets between certain destinations and booked seats on specific routes. All data can be presented in a report format or through an integrated mapping function, which allows users to create dynamic visualisations of traffic flows.

Toulouse Airport will use Traffic Analyser for airport development and commercial performance analysis. For airport route development teams, OAG Traffic Analyser provides an ideal means of calculating the size of the passenger market between airports, countries and regions; developing comparative analyses against competing airports; forecasting passenger traffic for existing or potential services; and monitoring the revenue performance and profitability of routes. The product also allows airports’ commercial teams to understand the true traffic composition of their airport, including the total number of passengers who are originating, arriving and transferring.

Rob Shaw, director of analytics, OAG, says: “Toulouse Airport continually demonstrates its ability to increase its traffic within a demanding aviation market. In signing up for our new Traffic Analyser tool, the airport will be well placed to stay ahead of its competitors and increase its leadership in the region. Toulouse Airport is a valued customer of OAG, one with which we look forward to deepening our relationship.”

Toulouse Airport is France’s fifth largest airport and a leading business travel destination with 7.5 million passengers in 2012. It currently operates with 24 scheduled airlines on 58 domestic routes and international connections. Toulouse Airport has seen a 19% increase in total traffic between 2010 and 2012. In the last 4 years (2009-2012), low-cost carriers have increased their traffic by 16% per year on average.

Akram Troussieux, Toulouse Airport, says: “Here at Toulouse Airport, the personal goals for each member of the staff, is to stay proactive and keep their skills and competency at a very high level.

"The partnership with OAG is in line with this approach, ensuring that we have the essential high quality information that enables us to propose the most reliable and full analysis of the market, to airlines, but also to our top management”.

OAG Traffic Analyser is the fourth module in the OAG Analyser suite, which also includes OAG Connections Analyser, OAG Schedules Analyser and OAG Mapper. To ensure absolute accuracy, OAG Traffic Analyser is continually validated against the OAG Schedules database, which contains data for more than 900 airlines and 4,000 airports.
