London, 2 November 2015: OAG, the global leader in aviation data and analytical services, is today announcing the sale of its MRO Network business.

MRO Network, part of OAG, provides market leading aviation exhibitions, conferences and publications to the MRO, fleet, financing and leasing sectors. MRO Network has been sold to Penton, a leading U.S.-based professional information services company, for an undisclosed sum.

Phil Callow, Chief Executive, OAG, says: “Our strategy involves increased focus on our core digital expertise in unrivalled air travel data and intelligence. We occupy a unique position in the market and can provide insight and add value to all aspects of the air travel journey to enable customers to innovate and advance their businesses.

“OAG has built the MRO Network to occupy a key role in its market; its sale will allow us to accelerate and strengthen OAG’s own digital growth in the schedules, flight status and analytics market. We are delighted to find a natural fit for MRO Network in Penton, which can further unlock MRO’s potential through its alignment with the Aviation Week Network brand and existing event portfolio.”

Earlier this year, OAG also welcomed real-time flight status provider FlightView to the OAG family, propelling the company to a leadership position internationally with its highly complementary customer base, US market reach and ‘day-of-travel’ flight data. The strengthening of OAG’s capabilities further consolidates its role as the trusted single source for high-quality aviation intelligence products and services. Through OAG, customers worldwide can optimize business operations, increase sales and enhance their customers’ experience.
